Industry veteran Greg Clendenin launches consulting group to help business prepare for the market

After 39 years of ownership and senior-level management in the lawn and pest control industry, Greg Clendenin started The Clendenin Consulting Group (CCG).

The CCG will help privately owned businesses prepare for the market and connect them with the right buyer. It will also assist companies develop their economic and market value, as well as offer a fresh perspective on the issues of growth, leadership, efficiencies, culture and marketing.

Greg Clendenin’s industry involvement has included:

  • Board member of the National Pest Management Association (NPMA);
  • Board member and past chairman of the Quality Pro program, NPMA; and
  • Past chairman of the National Lawn Care Committee, NPMA.

He also received the National Leadership Award in 2003.

“After 14 years with almost 200 cars and trucks on the road and nine functioning locations, my team and I made a decision to place Heron on the acquisition market,” said Joe Patti, former majority owner of Heron Lawn & Pest Control. “During the course of Greg’s career, his reputation of acquiring and selling other pest control companies was well established. Obviously, he was the only option as far as we were concerned to form, create and arrange this deal. Within a two-week window, the company ‘book’ we needed to begin this process was completed and on my desk.”
